I had trouble with this set. I could not for the life of me remember who this band was, but I had some kinda feeling they were from San Francisco. Emailed a few shots to friends of mine who were in SF back in the day. Miss Derringer guitarist Jimmy Wilsey was the Avenger's bass player and then Chris Issac's guitarist. Jimmy says the singer looks kinda like the singer for the Offs, but he also says that by the early 80s he was pretty much out of the hardcore loop, so it's just a guess. Binky's Klara Lux sent the shot around and came back to me with Social Unrest, which kinda rings a bell, so I'm goin' with Klara on this one.

As usual I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the Necros.

SST night: a bewigged mystery band opened the show, featuring Black Flag bassist Kira Roessler looking like Harpo Marx, followed by the Meat Puppets and then Black Flag at what was the only punk show I remember taking place at the Skyline Club. There might've been other punk shows there that I don't remember. My short and long term memory are not so hot. However, I am able to predict the future. For example, if you send me a check made out to geoff cordner for $100 I predict I will cash it. And I make that prediction with the utmost confidence. I predict I'll accept money orders and paypal as well.
